Belleek Young People Project

Welcome to the wonderful home page of the Belleek Young People Project. Are you aged between 14 - 18 and living in the local area? If so, then why not check us out, or if feeling really brave, get involved! After all this project was set up for you, the young people, to come together as a group and create activites and opportunities in your local area. So if you have any ideas on what you would like to see happening in your town, then why not come along. The project doesn't cost you anything (there's no catch) and in the long run its you who benefits from it. Think of all those miserable, dark evenings in the winter time when your sitting at home just wishing that you had something to do. Well now you have the opportunity to make things happen. Its you who decide on the events or projects that take place. With help and guidance from the adult members of staff, we together can make your local area more exciting! So come along and get involved, its in your hands, so no more excuses now that you never have anything to do! 

 

Young People's Project

 

 

Belleek and District Community Partnership’s project PEBBLE IN THE POND is delighted to announce that it has been successful in securing additional funds to employ a part-time youth worker until June 2008. Pebble in the Pond has been working on re-forming the Belleek Young People’s Group over the last few weeks and the news that a dedicated worker had been secured has given this aspect of the project a much needed boost. The Young People’s Project is specifically for 14 to18 year olds from Belleek village and surrounding areas. The project will encourage young people to get involved in existing local community development structures, and encourage active citizenship among them, in return Pebble will assist the young people in designing projects and activities for themselves, access funding and then implement these fun activities. So if you are aged 14 to 18 and you would like to become involved in the group, then contact Joanne, Gillie or Ciaran at Belleek & District Community Partnership office, Unit 2 Craft Village (028) 686 59701 R.O.I (048).  You are welcome to come and add your ideas to the pot.  A number of adults will be assisting the teenagers with funding applications, etc.  If you are interested in volunteering your time, please also contact us on the number above.
